Islamic Courts fighters in central Somalia have reached the town of
Abudwaq in Galgadud province where they have been warmly
received by residents in the area.
The Courts militias accompanied by two trucks mounted with
anti-aircraft guns and militias in Abudwaq who were training at
Islamic training camp in Adado province, central Somalia, have
entered Abudwaq, a town quite close to the Ethiopian border.
Mohammed Ali Suqulle, an inhabitant of Abudwaq, has confirmed to
Shabelle that Islamic Courts attained the town without any
resistance.
The Islamic Courts have previously indicated they would expand into
all Somalia and impose the Islamic law on all parts of the country.
